Nothing leaves your browser.

When you save a page, Short Term Memory keeps its address, its title, and when you saved it. That lives in your browser's local extension storage and nowhere else. I never see it, and neither does anyone else.

The extension has no account, no sync, no analytics, and no tracking. It makes no network requests of its own.

Permissions, and why

storage

To keep the pages you save.

alarms

To let each page go at the end of its seventh day, and to refresh the badge at midnight.

activeTab

To read the address and title of the tab you're on, only when you click Save or press the shortcut.

favicon

To show each site's icon from Chrome's own cache.

When a page is opened, removed, or reaches the end of its seven days, it's deleted from storage. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.

This website doesn't use cookies or analytics.
